Each year our church puts on a holiday bazaar on the first Saturday in December. It takes almost a whole year to prepare for it and many people from our church are involved. Starting in February we start knitting and crocheting and making things in our workshops. Meet our new Visitor this year–Snowman 2017 will be joining us at the Bazaar. He is already getting a lot of attention.
A Doll House Made By A Church Member Was Raffled Off last year. Wonder what the raffles will be this year?
Our members assemble a wide variety of gift baskets that we raffle off . They are great for gift giving.
About a week before the bazaar, members get together and decorate wreaths that we sell at the Bazaar. This year we will be decorating Monday night, November 26, starting around 6 pm in the Drake Room. Come join us! Others will be putting wreaths up in the sanctuary.
We sell many delicious baked goods, jams and candies including our very popular fudge. Two of our members enjoy selling blocks of cheese.
The Day starts Off With The Friendship Circle
All the people working at the bazaar form a friendship circle and say a prayer right before the bazaar starts on Saturday morning. The Kilton Room is all decorated for the bazaar.
We sell coffee and donuts in the morning and serve corn chowder and chili for lunch.
The Church looks a lot more like ‘Santa’s Workshop’ during the week before the Bazaar. We hope you will visit us on Saturday, December 1st between 9 am and 1 pm to shop, visit your friends over coffee and donuts, shop some more and then enjoy lunch featuring corn chowder and chili, and the touches.
